Matt and Jana's album

Tuesday, December 30, 2008

When my brother-in-law Matt married his beautiful wife Jana this past March, they hired a friend to take their pictures. She did a great job, but at the end of the day, the only thing they had to showcase their wedding was their pictures stored online. So my mother-in-law hired me to design and order a wedding album through my album company for their Christmas present. It was fun to design, and the end result was fantastic! They ordered a 10x10 in Forbidden Green, one of my favorite color options.

Brides, when choosing a photographer, make sure you're looking at what you're getting. It may be most important to you to be getting the CD with all your high resolution pictures on them so you can print/publish those at your disgression, but make sure you're getting more than just that. You're going to want something that you can display in your home, something you can pull out and show your children and grandchildren.

Kiss Wedding Books (the albums I offer) are amazing! They come in your choice of six colors of imported Italian leather. They are oh-so-soft and have that great leather smell too. Instead of coming in a boring cardboard storage box, they come in snazzy canvas covers to protect the album in style. In short, I love these albums and wish my personal wedding album was a Kiss album.

Arizona Families

Tuesday, December 23, 2008

My sister-in-law Stacey invited me a long to help with some informal family photos for my husband's extended family.

The Ahlmanns - the extended version

Wednesday, December 17, 2008

Remember this awesome family? Well, they're back! And this time they brought Jaren's siblings along for the ride.

This next one they tell me is an Ahlmann Sibling Exclusive, a traditional pose that can be found in family pictures dating back to when their sister was only 10 years old.

Sunsets

Thursday, December 11, 2008

I just got back from taking pictures of one of my favorite families, and on my way home I had a hard time keeping my eye on the road because all I wanted to look at was the breathtaking sunset. Naturally, it wasn't quite as stunning by the time I got home and took a picture, but it was still quite pretty.

My husband argues that Arizona sunsets are the best, but I'm pretty sure no sunset beats a Nauvoo sunset. And Utah gets some pretty picturesque ones in the winter. What do you guys think?

This family is so much fun! I loved our little mini-shoot in Springville and loved watching them interact. Little G is such a happy toddler and so much fun.

Wouldn't you kill for eyelashes like this?

Happy Birthday Sophie!

Monday, December 8, 2008

We took these pictures on Sophie's first brithday. I was so glad her mom contacted me and asked me to take their family pictures, I had so much fun. Doesn't this little girl just melt your heart?!

Annie and Dan: Bridals!

Wednesday, December 3, 2008

This couple rocks. I had so much fun with them in Salt Lake when we took their bridals/groomals. I'd have to say my favorite moment was when an elderly gentleman stopped them as we were walking and said, "You'll be sorry!" AH! Who tells a bride and groom that? Crazy.
