Utah Wedding Expo

Tuesday, March 24, 2009

This weekend I will have a booth at the Utah Wedding Expo at Thanksgiving Point and I would love for you guys to come visit me! I'll be there on Friday from 4-8 and Saturday from 10-6. Brides, when you pre-register, you get in for free! So click HERE and get yourself all signed up!

7 ways to make the most of your experience at the Utah Wedding Expo:

7. Ask about expo specials. Most vendors will be offering discounts or special extras to couples who meet or book them at the expo. Including me :)

6. Handouts are a brides best friend. Instead of having to remember the names of all the great vendors you've met, you'll have a mini expo in the form of business cards and information sheets in your take-home bag.

5. Wear comfortable shoes. You don't want to be skipping out early because skipping around the expo is causing your piggies pain.

4. Remember those handouts? Bring a pen and write down down your thoughts on each vendor on the back of their card. That way when you go through those cards after the show you'll remember why you impressed - or unimpressed - by each one.

3.  Involve your groom. This is his wedding too, make sure he's as big a part as he wants to be.

2. Enter yourself in giveaways, someone has to win so it might as well be you!

1. Have fun. Planning a wedding is an exciting event, make the most of it and savor every moment.

Alisa + Dax: Engaged

Monday, March 23, 2009

She claims things got started when he started stalking her in high school. He doesn't deny it. Several years, an LDS mission and (almost) a nursing degree later they're getting ready to tie the knot. I had a lot of fun with these two while taking their engagements, and I am counting down the days to the bridals and the wedding!

Next week ...

I'll be posting more of these beautiful couples.

Melissa + Jordan: Engaged

Wednesday, March 18, 2009

These two hail from Tuscan, Arizona, but it took coming up to BYU for college for them to fall in love. I'm so excited to shoot their wedding at in Mesa this coming May!

Thanks Jordan and Melissa for being such a fun couple! And thanks for not laughing too hard at me as I revealed my clumsy side by falling up the stairs ... and when (just minutes after confessing my fear of dogs) that big dog jumped on me.

What's in store ...

Tuesday, March 17, 2009

This hot e-session from this past weekend, and two more e-sessions from this week. Lots o' eye-candy in store, keep checking back! Oh, and happy St. Patty's day, TAMN would be so proud of my green blogging ;)

Sarah + Cory: Bridals

Monday, March 16, 2009

Arizona was wonderful! Husband and I had a fantastic time at his step-sisters wedding, and we got some fantastic pictures. I especially enjoyed the warm weather and getting through a shoot without wondering if my "trigger" finger was going to fall off!! These are from our bridal session, wedding pictures to come soon.

A sneak peak!

Thursday, March 12, 2009

I'm here in Arizona loving the weather a lot and loving this couple even more! We did their bridals last night at the Mesa, LDS temple and their wedding is this afternoon. You'll be seeing a lot more of these two, but here's one for now!

Just some stuff ...

Tuesday, March 10, 2009

I have always loved airports. The smells, sights and sounds appeal to me and make me feel warm and fuzzy inside. I love browsing the newsstands and buying a magazine and some peach rings to keep me company on the plane. I love watching people of all shapes, colors and sizes and their interactions with one another. And I love to travel.

Tomorrow I'm going to the airport and getting on a plane to see some people that make me feel even more warm and fuzzy than airports, my in laws! My husband's step sister Sarah is getting married and I have the honor of being her wedding photographer. I can't wait for this event because mixing my love for photography with my love for my husbands family is such a delicious combination.

Also, here's a lovely gal in my neighborhood. We had a 2 minute photo session the other day and here's the result!

Wednesday, March 4, 2009

I am getting things all ready for the Utah Wedding Expo on March 27th and 28th and I need your help. I want to print out some big prints, but I don't know which pictures to use. Do you guys have a favorite picture I've taken? If so, please let me know! Browse the archives and my Web site if you need a refresher. Thanks in advance!

Enjoy another tasty picture from RJ and Christina's engagements!
