Haws Family: Utah Family Photographer

I closed on a new house last night. Tomorrow a painter is coming at 8 am to turn my drab walls into something stunning (fingers crossed) and while he's painting I need to pack up my life and move it into the basement of my new house. And scrub both my old and new house. And be done by Tuesday. So what do I do when I'm overwhelmed? Blog a photo session I can't believe I haven't blogged yet. Because procrastination is my specialty.

-2 degrees (!!) in a windy, snowy field doesn't really sound like a recipe for an ideal family photo session ... but when you add two beautiful ladies and a handsome man, you really can't go wrong. Despite the bitter cold (really, I don't know that I remember a colder winter, do you?) I loved loved loved this photo session!

2012 was amazing, and I'm so excited for what 2013 may bring!

One of my new year's resolutions is to cook more at home (aka, not eat out so much). What are some of your resolutions?

Moving

I'm moving. In one month we are closing on our new house, as well as closing on our current house. And a word of advice? If you ever decide to sell your house and move, try to avoid doing so during the holidays. Because moving is messy business, even if it is just a few miles south. Throw in a week-long Christmas stay at my parents cabin and an almost-week-long trip to Disneyland in the middle and you're just asking for madness. Luckily, I'm one of those odd sorts that thrives under pressure and deadlines, bring it on! In this case, it helps me to not focus on the fact that I'm leaving my house, the home to which I brought my babies home from the hospital. Where we became a family of three, then four. Where adorable things like this happen on a daily basis.

Two things

One: I'm obsessed with this family. Seriously, just you wait until I post more, you will be too.

Miller Family

Jenni and I go way back. Back to my awkward braces-wearing high school days. We cheered together for 3 years, then ended up doing a travel study semester through BYU together. She is by far one of the nicest, sweetest gals around and I am so honored to have photographed her beautiful family.

Megan: Utah Portrait Photographer

Not only is the Holiday season busy for it's normal reasons - gift buying, festivity attending, cookie eating ... oh, just me? Anyway ... it's also a big time for family pictures which makes me just that much busier. And I love it! So what I'm trying to say is, these pictures are long overdue to make a blog appearance, but I think they're worth the wait. How beautiful is Megan!? These are combination senior pictures and mission pictures and I'm so so glad she had me take them. I loved getting to know you, Megan!
