Cupcakes

Making your wedding fun and unique can be easy with a few simple details ... like these floral cupcakes from The Curious Cupcake. How fun would it be to have cupcakes that match your bouquet!

Busy weekend!

Friday, April 25, 2008

This weekend (and entire week for that matter) is crammed with stuff to do. Tonight I'm doing a family portrait session, I have a co-workers wedding reception, my friend's wedding bbq and a neighborhood pary. Tomorrow I'm shooting a wedding in Logan (can't wait!!) all day.

So! Check back for pictures of my fun weekend! For now, I'm going to leave you with this picture I took last summer in Fairview, Utah.

Here's my card

Thanks to my ever talented brother Geoffrey (and the helpful input of my husband Jason), I now have a business card design and logo ... and my Web site isn't far behind!

Eric + Kali: The Wedding

Saturday, April 19, 2008

This is a beautiful wedding that I second shot with the wonderful Rebekah Westover. Thanks Eric and Kali for being such a beautiful couple, and thanks Rebekah for letting me come along!

Scott + Barb (aka Mom and Dad!)

Sunday, April 13, 2008

Meet my lovely parents. They both turn 50 this month (my mom on the 6th and my dad the 21st) and they couldn't be more thrilled. As my dad puts it, 50 is the new 30. So today while Jason and I were over for Sunday dinner, I grab a few pictures of them. Don't they look fantastic?

Head on over to Rebekah Westover's blog to see the most beautiful wedding! I helped second shoot, and quite a few of the pictures she featured were taken by yours truly! As soon as I get some computer things sorted out, I should have a few of my own to post here.

Need help ....

Wednesday, April 9, 2008

I'm sitting on my living room floor with the plug of my laptop held strategically in place. Why? Because my battery is 100 percent dead (and a new one is $300), and my wall plug is pretty shot too, so if it moves out of position the entire computer kills over.

Needless to say, I'm in the market for a new computer. For work at the magazine, I'd like a laptop for interviews and on-the-spot photo editing, but for photo editing overall, a desktop trumps a laptop any day. I love the ease of photo editing on a desktop. Quite the quandary, really. So I submit to you dear reader, what should I do? Any recommendations? Advice? Computers you want to give me?

**update** As I was writing this, I shifted my weight and both my laptop and plug died completely. Jason so graciously relinquished the desktop for me to finish up the invitation design I was working on, but my situation is now more urgent than ever. I really really need input!

Meet Mark

Thursday, April 3, 2008

This is Mark. Mark is marrying one of my best friends on May 10 in Nauvoo ... and I so wish I could go. I have such a special place in my heart for Nauvoo. Anyway, Mark is the creative mind behind my new Web site. So when it is in place, this is the face that deserves the credit:
