Orem High School Cheerleaders

For the fourth year in a row, I got the distinct privileged of photographing the lovely Orem High Cheerleaders. This is a shoot I look forward to all year long and I love love love the way they turned out! This year was especially fun for me because I had spent a few months coaching these girls earlier this year while their coach was out on maternity leave.

I've mentioned it on this blog before, but I cheered in high school. And I loved it. And like any former athlete, I'll do anything to come close to re-living my "glory days" as captain of a nationally ranked cheerleading squad (did you hear that? that's me tooting my own horn. And I can't appologize for being awesome.) So when my youngest sister's cheer coach had her baby a month early and they needed someone to fill in as coach while she's out on maternity leave, I couldn't volunteer fast enough. I've been having the best time coaching these girls and I can't tell you how much I adore each and every one of them.

OHS Cheerleaders

This is a photoshoot I look forward to every year, the Orem High School Cheerleading squad! I remember back when I cheered for Orem, our team pictures were nothing more than our coach snapping our picture in the new lounge with her point-and-shoot. My senior year, we brought in this expensive photographer with his cheesy backgrounds and heavy-handed makeup artists. Our parents forked out way too much money for pictures that didn't even look like their daughters.
