I have been really blessed this year to be able to take photos of some really wonderful people. When Julie called me and told me she wanted to bring her dogs to the shoot, I panicked inside but managed to keep my voice calm as I told her that would be no problem. The truth is, I'm deathly afraid of dogs and I later confessed to Julie that the photoshoot was my own little episode of fear factor. But when it came right down to it, I had nothing to fear. These dogs were friendly and photogenic, just like the rest of the family!
Enjoying the in-between
Monday, November 23, 2009
As I waited for a couple to come to their engagement session, I was enjoying the beautiful surroundings and saw in the distance a snow-covered mountain. A hint of what's to come. The full colored blaze of fall has faded, and the shimmering snow of winter hasn't quite settled. But there is beauty in the in-between.

Liahona Cheerleaders
Wednesday, November 11, 2009
I've mentioned it on this blog before, but I cheered in high school. And I loved it. And like any former athlete, I'll do anything to come close to re-living my "glory days" as captain of a nationally ranked cheerleading squad (did you hear that? that's me tooting my own horn. And I can't appologize for being awesome.) So when my youngest sister's cheer coach had her baby a month early and they needed someone to fill in as coach while she's out on maternity leave, I couldn't volunteer fast enough. I've been having the best time coaching these girls and I can't tell you how much I adore each and every one of them.
These super cute shirts were designed by Jessica over at JP Creative. We're selling them as a cheerleading fundraiser for $10 each, want one?
Birthday Boy
Tuesday, November 10, 2009
Today is my husband's birthday. I have the best husband ever, so tonight I'm making him a pork roast (already in the crockpot), chocolate cupcakes with buttercream frosting and taking him to see Little Shop of Horrors at the Hale Center Theater in Orem.
Happy birthday, baby!

I've said it before and I'll say it again, repeat clients rock!! I took Christin and Tony's family pictures this time last year when she was 4 months pregnant, now they have the cutest little boy! Christin is the daughter of Goldsmith Jeweler owner and has been bit by the entrepreneurial bug. Her own jewelry company, Riverberry, should be up and running in time for Christmas.
